Open Water Diver Course

About the Course
PADI® Open Water Diver is the first scuba certification level. A highly-trained PADI Instructor will teach you how to scuba dive in a relaxed, supportive learning environment.
By the end of the course, you'll have the skills and knowledge to dive at home or abroad and be an ambassador for the underwater world.

Included in this course
- All gear rental for confined water sessions. Try out some of our equipment to ensure you get the correct gear before you need to purchase anything.
- Wetsuit, BCD, Regulator, dive computer included for Open water sessions (Mask, Snorkel, Boots, and Fins should be purchased for open water dives but can be rented for $25 a day)
Our confined water dives are held on Sunday mornings from 9am-12:30pm at the George Washington Rec Center, with some availability at the indoor pool on Fort Belvoir on weekdays.
Our open water dives are held at the Rappahannock Quarry in Fredericksburg Va or in Rawlings, VA, at Lake Phoenix. These dives take 2 days to complete. They can be done on a weekend or spread out if need be.
